Introduction To STRETCH FILM

Stretch film, also known as stretch wrap, is a highly stretchable plastic packaging film extensively utilized across the logistics sector to secure and safeguard goods for global transit. Professionally manufactured from linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE), this material delivers exceptional flexibility and high tensile strength. Its superior elastic recovery ensures a snug, protective fit around cargo loads, allowing for residue-free removal without surface damage. Depending on the intended industrial applications, our films are available in various customized thicknesses and engineered cling levels.

The common uses of industrial stretch wrap include bundling multiple items, stabilizing pallet packaging films, protecting loads from moisture and dust contamination, and providing clear tamper-evident packaging for security. Furthermore, it unitizes multiple cases into single, manageable loads to streamline shipping and storage workflows.

A primary competitive advantage of leveraging pallet stretch film over traditional cardboard or foam lies in its unmatched strength-to-weight ratio. Being significantly lighter than alternative packaging materials, it drastically minimizes storage space, handling effort, and freight weights while guaranteeing elite cargo protection and maximum load stability.

When to Integrate Our High-Performance Films

When to Integrate Our High-Performance Films

Securing the Pallet

One of the easiest and most affordable methods for securing products on a pallet for shipping is stretch wrapping.

Bundling

For inventory management, sale, or transit, loose goods can be covertly banded together using a soft hand or bundling/banding wraps.

Reels and Rolls’ safety

Rolls of wire or carpet can be fastened with stretch film.

Safeguarding Products

A small layer of protection for things on shelves can occasionally be provided with stretch film.

Transportation

When moving big items, stretch wrapping provides the optimal level of safety and protection.

Production processes

Blown Stretch Film

A significant air bubble is blasted inside a circular die as a thick layer of the extruded film emerges from it to create the blown film. The volume of the bubble, along with the original diameter and thickness of the extruded tube, all contribute to the final gauge (thickness) of the material.

Rollers pull the film up, causing the vertical bubble to burst and controlling the winding of the thin, flat tube of film. The bubble, which may stand several feet tall, enables a slow cooling of the film. As the film is extruded during the rewind process, edges are frequently trimmed off, rolls are diced to width, and coils are coiled in line. It is estimated that 20–30% of a stretch film made now gets blown.

Cast Stretch Film

Production of cast films happens distinctly. In this case, the resin is extruded through a linear die and leaks out onto large-diameter chilling rollers. The film may occasionally be thinned to the intended gauge by winding the resulting film more quickly than it is extruded, depending on the original thickness of the extrusion (note that they may not be cold, but rather are significantly cooler than the semi-molten plastic).

Cast film makes up, according to industry estimates, the remaining 70–80% of stretch film production.

Stretch Hood Film

Our advantage

We deliver a comprehensive portfolio of high-performance stretch films tailored to your business operations. Our inventory features both advanced machine stretch wrappers and ergonomic manual hand roll equipment to satisfy any operational scale. Whether your application involves standard pallet stabilization or wrapping sensitive, irregular-shaped goods, we have the ideal stretch wrap solution for you.

We guarantee a measurable reduction in your cost-per-pallet; with our superior pre-stretch capability, less film is required for every unitized load. Furthermore, our films maintain excellent load retention force over long-distance transit, while engineered puncture resistance ensures any incidental tear remains contained and will not propagate.

As a leading B2B supplier, we provide global industries with specialized stretch wrapping variants, featuring standard pallets film, ergonomic extended core stretch film, and high-security black stretch wrap. Our advanced stretch film formulas prioritize superior puncture resistance alongside peak optical transparency, ensuring robust pallet unitization without compromising barcodes scannability or product presentation.

Whether you are bundling parcel shipments, securing palletized goods for internal factory transfers, or wrapping industrial piping and lumber to prevent sticky tape residue, our heavy-duty stretch film provides the ultimate cling and superior puncture resistance.

Diverse Application Fields We Serve

For transporting oversized items, professional stretch wrapping delivers the ultimate level of load security and surface protection. In the moving and logistics industry, our high-performance stretch film is a trusted tool for safeguarding furniture from nicks, scratches, and dents during transit. Furthermore, its superior containment force locks drawers and doors in place, allowing filing cabinets and dressers to be relocated securely without the need to empty their contents. Don’t hesitate to explore creative packaging methods—with our versatile stretch wrap, the applications are truly endless!

FAQ for Stretch Film

Stretch film is a thin plastic film that is stretched and clung to objects for the purpose of stabilization or security. It is frequently used in the transportation and packaging industries.

cling film is a thin plastic film that clings to surfaces when applied, while stretch film is a thicker plastic film that stretches to fit around objects

The life of stretch wrap can depend on a number of factors, such as the quality of the wrap, how often it is used, and the storage conditions. In general, stretch wrap can last for up to one year when used regularly. However, if it is only used occasionally or is stored in a cool, dry place, it can last for up to two years.

This depends on how it is stored and how often it is used. If it is kept in a cool, dry place and is not used too often, it can last for a few months. However, if it is stored in a warm, humid place or is used frequently, it will not last as long.
